Q: After submitting my university application, when will I receive a decision?

A: Usually once you submit your application it takes roughly 3-4 work weeks for the University to get back to NEXT. However, if you submit your CV and Education qualifications prior to submitting the application, your relevant Education Advisor will get in contact with the University and provide a conditional guarantee on your enrollment.

Q: How can I check my eligibility for a programme?

A: The best way to check eligibility would be to call the relevant Education Advisor and share your work experience and education qualifications with them. Based on your feedback, they will recommend suitable options for you to enroll. Details of the Education Advisors are as follows:

Q: How can I decide which course best suits me?

Q: What’s meant by fully franchised UK qualification?

A: A fully franchised UK qualification is when the content, qualification and recognition comes directly from the enrolled University. Therefore, from start to finish you will be enrolled as an internal student of the University gaining access to all the research, academic libraries and other student resources identical to a student studying in the UK.

In Sri Lanka there is a practice by many higher education establishments to amend programme content to increase pass rates, but this only makes the programme quality substandard. .

Q: How can I contact a past Alumni of NEXT to know about a programme?

A: This is undoubtedly the best way to understand what we do at NEXT and this is something we like all our prospective students to do.

If you wish to speak to any of our past alumnis, you can contact your relevant Education Advisor and he/she will set up a phone call or a virtual call based on your requirement.

Q: How can I check if NEXT Campus affiliated Universities are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka?

A: Currently NEXT is affiliated with Birmingham City University (BCU) and London Metropolitan University (LMU). When you visit the UGC site (www.ugc.ac.lk), under Universities and Institutes – Recognized Foreign Universities, you will find two university publications: the Commonwealth Universities Yearbook and the International Handbook of Universities. Both LMU and BCU can be found in these publications. Please note BCU is listed in its original name of University of Central England.

Q: I am currently working abroad. How can I join NEXT?

A: If you are currently abroad and wish to study at NEXT, we suggest you contact our International enrolment website – www.nexteducationgroup.com

Q: Is attendance mandatory for lectures?

A: At NEXT Campus, we believe regular attendance to lectures is vital. Why? Because one lecture carries a whole lot of learning outcomes that students need to do their assessments and research. As a rule, we expect 80% attendance at all lectures.

Q: How long has NEXT Campus been in the Education Industry?

A: NEXT has been in existence for a celebrated 13 years in the Sri Lankan education industry. In 2019, NEXT established its first foreign campus in Dubai.

Q: Are NEXT Campus programmes approved by World Education Services (WES)?

A: Yes, all NEXT Campus programmes and Universities are recognized and approved by WES.

Q: How can I talk to Faculty members to know more about the course structure and learnings?

A: This is undoubtedly the best way to understand the programme in depth. If you wish to speak to any of our Faculty or Course leaders, you can contact your relevant Education Advisor and he/she will set up a phone call or a virtual call based on your requirement
