Bridging Theory and Global Strategy: Highlights from the MSc IBF Research Workshop

On November 16th, 2025, NEXT Campus Sri Lanka hosted an intensive Research Workshop for the MSc International Banking and Finance (IBF) batch at the Courtyard by Marriott Colombo. Running from 9:00 AM to 4:15 PM, the day was packed with high-level discourse, research methodology deep-dives, and strategic networking aimed at empowering future financial leaders.

What made this research workshop truly exceptional was its stellar lineup of resource persons. Bridging academic rigor with high-level corporate expertise, five distinguished leaders took the stage to mentor our MSc candidates:

  • Dr. Asitha Pinnaduwa – Vice President / Head of Products and Propositions at a leading commercial bank, who provided deep context on commercial banking, financial derivative products, and market propositions.
