This course reflects the increasing market need for professionals who can apply theories of psychology in business contexts and is open to any individuals aspiring to obtain knowledge and skills of psychology in all business environments including leadership, change management, training, consumer analysis and advertising.

The focus of this programmes is the application of psychological principles, and the set of modules are designed to promote skills and knowledge in managing human behavior and well-being in a business and organizational contexts. The approach of this course has a distinctive practical emphasis, preparing you to apply knowledge of psychological theory and evidence to solving real world problems and to improving business performance in a variety of areas.
This module is intended to provide critical knowledge related to the psychological aspects of organizational culture and how it affects the various functions in an organization which includes but is not limited to employee motivation, job design, decision making, change management, recruitment and selection.
This will equip students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable them to use a systems-based approach to identify and analyse issues related to organizational culture and generate potentially evidence-based solutions
This course aims to utilize psychology and management theory to examine issues that may arise due to organizational culture. The students will be presented with the knowledge and an appreciation of the major driving forces in determining organizational culture, how these impact upon a range of activities within the organisation including employee motivation, selection and recruitment, and the major psychological theories of organisational culture.

Thereby, understanding the psychological aspects of learning, training, development, selection and assessment is of significant importance to recruitment and to efficiently utilize work design and employee development procedures.
Cognitive theories of learning and skills development inform an understanding of how individuals learn. Thereby, this module presents the ways in which individuals learn and develop from a psychological perspective, in the context of work and organisations. Design and evaluation of training programs are also evaluated within this module from a psychological perspective, to ensure employee motivation and engagement in work organisations.
This module is intended to provide the students the necessary skills required to design their business research project as well as to bring together different areas of the course, allowing the student to reflect on their learning across the course and equip the students with necessary professional skills for professional development in their respective sectors of employment.
The module aims to introduce students to the different skills necessary for effective research and project writing, including research techniques and requisite standards of data collection and analysis.
This module builds on the research skills gained by the students in the Research Methods and Skills module, by which students have identified their research topic, and developed a research proposal in consultation with the supervisors.
Students will demonstrate an understanding the sector and the significance of issues within it via high level analysis, assimilation and interpretation of key information and statistics.
